Hand-engraved Nautilus Ref. 5711 will be sold for charity

Patek Philippe’s iconic 5711 Nautilus returns as the unique ref. 5711/1500A, a one-of-a-kind, hand-engraved model to be auctioned on November 25, 2024, for charity.

This exclusive piece will be part of the Children Action Gala, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Geneva-based organization, founded by Swiss entrepreneur Bernard Sabrier, dedicated to improving the lives of children worldwide.

 

The ref. 5711/1500A features intricate “Māori-inspired” engravings on its case, bezel, bracelet, and caseback, making it the first steel Patek Philippe watch to showcase this detailed craftsmanship. The dark grey dial, shaded with brown, is paired with matching engraved cufflinks to complete the look.

Patek Philippe has a tradition of donating unique watches to support Children Action. Past pieces, like the ref. 5270T Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, have set records, with the 5270T selling for CHF 9.7 million (about 243 million CZK). For this new 5711 to surpass the most expensive Nautilus record, it must exceed CHF 6,503,500 (around 163 million CZK).

 

The auction, led by Aurel Bacs from Phillips Bacs & Russo, aims to make this 5711/1500A the highest-priced Nautilus to date. This unique offering highlights Patek Philippe’s balance of tradition and modern luxury, supporting Children Action’s mission: making sure that every child experiences a real childhood.
