The New Rolex GMT-Master II
Introducing the New Rolex GMT-Master II 126729VTNR with a Green Dial
A few years ago, Rolex surprised many with the release of the controversial GMT-Master II 126720VTNR, also known as the “Lefty” or “Destro” model. It placed the date, Cyclops, and crown on the left side of the case. Now, Rolex continues the story with the new GMT-Master II 126729VTNR, featuring a green Cerachrom dial and a shift from stainless steel to white gold.

Design and Features
Externally, there are few changes beyond the material used for the case. Switching from Oystersteel to white gold adds weight, but the dimensions remain the same: a 40mm diameter and 11.90mm height. The bidirectional rotating bezel, made of white gold, retains the black and green Cerachrom insert.
The dial now features a green Cerachrom ceramic, which matches the lower half of the bezel, creating a cohesive look. The applied white gold hour markers and hands are still filled with Chromalight for improved visibility in the dark. The GMT hand now has a white/steel stem, making it more visible against the green dial compared to the previous green stem.

Movement and Power Reserve
The movement remains unchanged. The Caliber 3285 operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and features a Chronergy escapement and a Parachrom hairspring. It is COSC-certified as a chronometer, and Rolex’s Superlative Chronometer certification exceeds COSC standards. The movement has a 70-hour power reserve.
Bracelet and Price
The new GMT-Master II 126729VTNR comes on a full white gold Oyster bracelet with brushed and polished links, and an Oysterlock clasp with an extension system. The retail price is EUR 48,450.
