A Billionaire’s Fairytale: Jeff Bezos Marries Lauren Sánchez in Star-Studded Venetian Wedding

On June 27, 2025, billionaire Jeff Bezos (61) married Lauren Sánchez (55) on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. After completing the legal marriage process in the U.S., the couple held a lavish three-day celebration for around 200 guests. Attendees included Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Kim and Khloé Kardashian, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

 

The wedding reportedly cost between $50–60 million. Lauren wore a custom lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana featuring 180 buttons and intricate detailing. Her “something blue” was a keepsake from her Blue Origin spaceflight.

The festivities included a jet-set Gatsby-themed party, a cozy pajama brunch, a beach foam party on a yacht, and a performance by Matteo Bocelli, who sang "Can’t Help Falling in Love."

 

Around 80% of the wedding services were provided by local vendors, and the couple donated €2 million to preservation efforts in Venice. Despite this, the celebration sparked protests among locals opposed to commercialization and mass tourism. As a result, the reception venue was moved from the city center to the Arsenale.
