A. Lange & Söhne went crazy with the new Datograph anniversary edition
A. Lange is one of those brands that break the stigma that only a Swiss watch could be considered Haute Horlogerie, and that is mainly thanks to models like the Datograph.
To mark its 25th anniversary, A. Lange released a Handwerkskunst Limited Edition, a special, highly exclusive line of the iconic model.

How is it different
What makes the Handwerkskunst Limited Edition unique is certainly its absolutely stunning dial with a very complicated tremblage engraving, which gives it a particular 3D feel.

The Handwerkskunst editions are always a blast, but somehow, A. Lange managed to take this one a step further.
The dial looks absolutely out of this world, especially since A. Lange decided to pair it with a yellow-gold case, and some very tasteful yellow-gold touches straight on the dial, such as the Roman numerals, the logo, the hands, or the tachymeter.

A. Lange also decided to remove the iconic power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock, which weirdly makes it even more beautiful.
Once you flip the watch and have a chance to look at the magnificent hand-wound movement behind a sapphire glass, you can see that even there, A. Lange went for something more special.

The most obvious is the frosted finishing, which we had the chance to see in some other models, but it works particularly well with this one.
Our opinion
Here in Chrono 10:10 we can’t help but love A. Lange & Söhne, and creations like the Datograph Handwerkskunst Limited Edition just further prove to us that we can’t stop liking them any time soon.
The watch looks simply stunning, showing perfectly what the brand is capable of in such a nice way that there can be no complaints about it.

The watch is limited to just 25 pieces sold exclusively through A. Lange boutiques, which makes them slightly hard to get, but as far as we’re concerned, this makes the watch even better.
With the 25th surprise release of this edition of Datograph, A. Lange has made our week a lot nicer.
