Girard-Perregaux Laureato Expands with New Colors in Luxurious Pink Gold Cases

As one of the pioneers in the luxury sports watch scene, the Laureato's design was released in 1975, following the iconic Royal Oak but predating other classics like the Patek Philippe Nautilus, the IWC Ingenieur, and the Vacheron Constantin 222.

Laureato transitioned to mechanical movements by 1984. With its resurgence in 2016, this collection has become a staple among enthusiasts boasting numerous variations.

Its distinctive shaped case and integrated bracelet, along with a novel raised octagonal bezel atop a circular plinth, have become emblematic of the Laureato. These design hallmarks, integral to the original version, have been meticulously preserved in the reissue of the model in recent years.

This year, the esteemed collection grows with the introduction of two mesmerizing colors, sage green and ultramarine blue, elegantly encased in pink gold.

 

The latest entrants to Laureato's legacy, all crafted in the 42mm automatic time-and-date version, enhance the collection's diversity while maintaining its iconic aesthetics. The choice of 18k pink gold for the case not only adds to the watch's visual allure but also its tangible presence. Despite their size, these models manage a graceful appearance thanks to their curved profiles and a meticulous balance between brushed and polished finishes.

Both new color versions feature the “clous de Paris” motif and are powered by the in-house caliber GP1800, showcasing Girard-Perregaux's watchmaking prowess through exquisite movement finishing visible via the sapphire case back.

The sage green version presents a refreshing yet harmonious contrast with the pink gold case – an unexpected but successful pairing. Conversely, the ultramarine blue option explores the luxurious interplay between rich color and warm gold tone, providing a classic yet striking visual.

The new Laureato 42mm models are part of the permanent collection, available immediately through retailers and boutiques. The variants on a gold bracelet are priced at EUR 54,700,  with the leather strap options coming in at EUR 37,300.
