New from IWC - Portugieser Hand-Wound Tourbillon Day & Night

19/08/2024

The IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound Tourbillon Day & Night is a recent addition to the Portugieser collection, incorporating several modern features into its design. The watch is powered by a hand-wound movement, addressing the effects of gravity on the movement.

A distinctive aspect of this model is its hands, which interact with the day and night indicator on the dial. As you adjust the hands, you can see how the indicator clearly displays whether the time is set for AM or PM. This feature provides functionality by allowing users to distinguish between day and night hours.

The hand-wound movement offers a traditional watchmaking experience and includes a seven day power reserve, ensuring the watch remains operational for an extended period without frequent winding.

The watch case has a diameter of 42.4 mm which comes in both 18-carat armor gold and 18-carat white gold. It is paired with a black alligator leather strap from Santoni. The retail price of this watch consists of 50,500 euros.
