MB&F Marks 20th Anniversary with Two Exclusive Limited Editions
MB&F, founded by Max Büsser, celebrates 20 years of innovation with two unique limited-edition timepieces: the LM Perpetual Longhorn and LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn. Each model is limited to just 20 pieces. These watches feature stainless steel cases, black lacquered dials, blued hands, and a distinctive long lug design, or "horns," inspired by the shape of a rhino’s horns.

The longhorn lug design was first explored by MB&F in 2009 but wasn’t fully realized due to fit issues. The new models address this with a solution: two sets of springbar holes, allowing the wearer to choose the fit that best suits their wrist. This concept was first tested in a prototype in 2021, which was later auctioned to benefit Save the Rhino and received positive feedback.

The models were created in collaboration with independent watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, the designer of the famous Legacy Machine Perpetual movement, which won the Calendar Watch Prize at the 2016 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. The LM Perpetual Longhorn features a 581-component movement that eliminates the common issues of perpetual calendars, such as skipping dates and gear jams. The second edition, the LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn, is an evolution of the LM Sequential and includes the “Twinverter” function for independent timing, split-second, cumulative, and lap-timer modes, along with a flyback function. These timepieces are not only mechanical marvels but also true kinetic works of art, admired for both their engineering and their aesthetic beauty.
