In the sound of his masterful movements, Ulysse Nardin's fame grew. But success was not without its trials. In the early days, his watches found a solitary admirer in Lucien Dubois, a Parisian intermediary who introduced Ulysse's creations to the shores of Central and South America. Two years passed with Lucien as his sole patron.

Unfazed by the challenge, Ulysse expanded his reach. By 1860, he moved into a larger factory, a temple of craftsmanship known as "Ulysse Nardin, fabricant d'horlogerie sur les Recues 33." His dedication to precision led him to acquire an astronomical regulator crafted by Jacques-Frederic Houriet in 1768. This instrument of time told the secrets of the cosmos, allowing Ulysse to perfect his pocket chronometers.

Ulysse's journey continued with elegance and steady advancements. The headquarters found its abode at 3 rue du Jardin, a place that would witness history unfold. His passion was inherited by his son, Paul-David Nardin, who steered the ship towards more glory. The Paris Universal Exhibition gave them a Gold Medal, while Swiss patents and Chicago's Universal Exhibition First Prize added up to their collection.
