Bucherer Kicks Off 2025 With A Trio Of Limited-Edition Watches

24/02/2025

Bucherer isn’t wasting any time in 2025 (and we know why…). The Swiss luxury retailer has just teamed up with Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, and Chopard to drop three exclusive, limited-edition timepieces. If you love watches that mix traditional watchmaking with some modern techniques, this collection is what you were looking for. And with only 34 pieces spread across the three models, these won’t stick around for long.

Let’s break down the trio, starting with the wildest one.

Ulysse Nardin Freak X Enamel: A Freak in the Best Way

If you know Ulysse Nardin, you know the Freak collection is anything but conventional. No hands, no traditional dial, just a movement that doubles as the time display. The new Freak X Enamel keeps that spirit alive, adding a beautiful green enamel dial that takes the watch to the next level.

The 43mm titanium case houses the signature “flying carousel” mechanism, which acts as the minute hand, spinning on its own axis. It’s a standalone feature that make the Freak collection - well a freak. But only in the best way possible!

The green guilloché enamel dial is handcrafted at Ulysse Nardin’s own in-house enamel workshop in Le Locle, Switzerland. That attention to detail alone makes this watch special.

Paired with a black rubber strap and with green stitching, it’s sporty, avant-garde, and totally unique. Only 18 pieces will be made, and it’s priced at €40,000.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Tourbillon: A Classic With a High-Tech Twist

Next up, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Tourbillon, a watch that mixes the best of the Laureat collection with some cool new additions. The Laureato line has been around since 1975, but this new Bucherer-exclusive edition takes things up a notch.

At 43mm, it’s a big watch, but the slim 11mm profile makes it wear comfortably. The octagonal bezel, integrated bracelet, and Clous de Paris-patterned anthracite dial keep the signature Laureato look intact. The real star here is the tourbillon at 6 o’clock.

Girard-Perregaux has been perfecting tourbillons for over 150 years, and it shows. The GP09510 automatic movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, features stunning Geneva stripes and perlage finishing. The micro-rotor design helps keep everything slim while maintaining a 48-hour power reserve.

With only 8 pieces available, this is as exclusive as it gets. The price is sitting at €116,000.

Chopard L.U.C. Strike One: A Chopard Minute Repeater?

If the first two watches were bold, the Chopard L.U.C. Strike One is the perfect closer for the escalation. This is the first Strike One model to feature Chopard’s proprietary Lucent Steel, an ultra-durable, hypoallergenic alloy made from 80% recycled materials.

The 40mm case houses a hand-guilloché dial crafted from 18K white gold. The honeycomb motif in light blue should remind you of the Bucherer’s signature color, and there’s even a baguette-cut diamond at 8 o’clock, a homage to the retailer’s founding year, 1888.

But the real magic is in the Sonnerie au Passage complication. Every hour, the watch chimes, powered by a sapphire monobloc striker at 1 o’clock. It’s a complication usually found in ultra-high-end pieces, and it adds a whole new layer of charm to this watch.

The Strike One comes with two strap options: a hand-sewn alligator leather strap or a grey-grained calf leather strap. Only 8 pieces will be available, priced at €71,000.
