The Bold Return of Gérald Genta: Introducing the Gentissima Oursin Collection
Every watch lover knows Gérald Genta as the legendary watch designer behind the Royal Oak and Nautilus. This year his brand makes a striking comeback under Louis Vuitton's La Fabrique du Temps with the bold Gentissima Oursin collection. Inspired by a quirky 1994 sea urchin design, the Oursin emerges with three new timepieces that defy convention, expected to provoke reactions from awe to disbelief.

Each watch in the trio sports a grade 5 titanium case, studded dramatically with beads and a distinctly Genta octagonal, faceted sapphire crystal. With different expressions, the collection ranges from an understated matte titanium with white gold beads to a glittering version with rose gold beads and diamonds, and finally, a punk-inspired model with spike-shaped yellow gold beads. These art pieces house a reliable Zenith Elite-based GG-005 movement and come paired with color-matched leather straps.

Available from October 2024, with prices from CHF 19,000 to CHF 29,000, the collection is Genta's latest testament to creativity in watchmaking and is sure to turn heads and stir conversations.
