Description
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945 ‘Dragon’ Q52624A3 debuted in 2024 as a limited edition of five pieces. Housed in a pink gold case, this highly complicated wristwatch showcases a combination of astronomical indications, minute repeater, and orbital tourbillon, enhanced by artisanal decoration including sculpted dragons and hand-engraved elements.
The domed dial consists of multiple layers, with a black sandblasted base and a celestial vault displaying the northern hemisphere’s night sky. Two sculpted and hand-engraved gold dragons surround the rotating sky chart disc. The bezel, engraved to mirror the dragon scales, required approximately 50 hours of manual finishing.
At the heart of the watch is the manually wound 945, composed of 570 components. Functions include hours, minutes, orbital flying tourbillon, sidereal time display, sky chart, zodiac calendar, date, and minute repeater. The tourbillon completes a full counter-clockwise orbit around the dial every sidereal day (23h, 56m, 4.1s). The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a 40-hour power reserve.
The case measures 45mm in diameter and features a domed sapphire crystal to accommodate the multi-level dial architecture. This piece is part of the Hybris Artistica series, representing the pinnacle of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s technical and decorative capabilities.
