Description
The Breitling Premier B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 RB21203A1Q1P1 debuted in 2025 as a highly limited edition of 10 pieces for the Japanese market. Part of the Premier collection, originally introduced in the 1940s to emphasize elegance within Breitling’s portfolio, this model combines a chronograph with a tourbillon – a rare configuration that underscores the technical ambition of the line.
The watch is housed in a 42 mm case crafted from 18k red gold, with a thickness of 15.25 mm and a lug-to-lug length of 50.03 mm. Both front and back are fitted with sapphire crystal, the latter engraved to indicate the “ONE OF 10” edition. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters (10 bar). The case is paired with a curved brown alligator strap secured by an 18k red gold folding clasp.
The dial is executed in a deep shade of purple, a color traditionally associated with nobility in Japanese culture, referred to as komurasaki. Applied hour markers and gold accents enhance legibility, while the tourbillon regulator is prominently displayed at 12 o’clock. A 60-minute chronograph register is positioned at 6 o’clock.
Inside ticks Caliber B21, the B21 manufacture movement developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret. This automatic movement integrates both a tourbillon and a chronograph mechanism, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It features 30 jewels, a column-wheel architecture, and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours.
The Premier B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 RB21203A1Q1P1 represents a combination of traditional complications and Breitling’s modern approach to high horology. With only 10 examples produced, it is among the most exclusive iterations of the Premier collection.
