Louis Vuitton’s Tambour Taiko Spin Time: A Wild LV Ride
Let’s be honest: when you think of Louis Vuitton, your mind probably goes to bags, not watches. But in recent years, LV managed to bring us some of the most innovative watches the industry has seen over the years, with lineups like Tambour Taiko Spin Time being a proof that LV’s watch game is on point.

Revealed at LVMH Watch Week, this collection updates their iconic Spin Time series, first introduced in 2009, with a fresh, modern design. These six limited-edition pieces share a cohesive "Dolphin Grey" theme, sleek 18-carat white gold cases, and a revamped Tambour case with massive, sculpted lugs. As always with Spin Time, it’s all about the spinning cubes, now with softer, rounded edges that rotate to reveal the hour in a cool colour change.

There’s something here for every level of watch collecting. The time-only models (39.5mm) start at €82,500, while the Spin Time Air, with floating cubes in a larger 42.5mm case, kicks off at €92,500. And if you want to spend even more, LV has some even more expensive options. Add diamonds, and you’re looking at €137,000. The flying tourbillon model goes for a breathtaking price of €157,000, and the world-time Antipode that spins cubes featuring city names can be yours for “just” €92,000.

It’s provocative. It’s coraigus. And yeah, it’s also expensive. But with La Fabrique du Temps crafting these watches in-house, Louis Vuitton’s proving they’ve got something to bring to the world of high-end luxury watches. If you’re a fan of their designs and have a couple hundred thousand to spend, these might just win you over.
